Background

Community Builders was created from two older funding programs: the Area Assistance Scheme which operated in parts of six Community Builders regions, Metro West, Metro South West, Southern, Central Coast, Hunter and Northern, and the Community Services Grants Program’s community strengthening services, which were distributed across the state.

Transition from CSGP to Community Builders

As of July 2011 projects formerly funded under the Community Services Grants Program (CSGP) will be working towards outcomes agreed in 3 three-year Community Builders service specifications.
