Community Capacity Building - List of Activities
In your Community Builders service specification you will see that Community Capacity Building includes activities you are funded for under column B. The list below shows all activities that fall under Community Capacity Building.

- People connected with information - Provision of quick and easy access to information about local services and resources to individuals either by phone, e-mail, brochures, fact-to-face etc... You will have to collect and report data for the number of people connected with info (detailed by category and type of contact), SNAPSHOP DATA ONLY
- Clients Assisted with Referral - Linking a person with another service by contacting a service on behalf of a client, support the client to contact a service, discuss options with a clients or support in writing a letter. You will have to collect and report data for number of referrals made during snapshot reporting period.
- Events - your service organises or has a leadership role in organising an event. Participation in events does not count here. You will have to collect and report data on the number of events, the number of people attending and how many events were held on time and as planned.
- Programs - Your centre holds community activitiy programs during the year e.g. community safety program or community garden. You will have to collect and report data on the number of programs, number of sessions held, number of people attending (for all sessions) and how many programs were held on time and as planned.
- Event (utilising infrastructure) - The emphasis for data reporting is on the intent of the event and whether the aim is to promote and encourage usage of existing local community facilities e.g. expo of services held in an under-utilised building. You will have to collect and report data on the number of events, the number of people attending as well as how many events were held on time and as planned.
- Program (utilising infrastructure) - Community infrastructure program aim to build on aspects of community strength, for example tidy towns or an anti-graffiti program. You will have to collect and report data on the number of sessions held and number of people attending (for all sessions) as well as how many were held on time and as planned.
- Resources developed - This may include brochures, booklets, websites, newsletter and directories. You will have to collect and report data on the number of resources produced, the number of people reached and how many resources were completed on time and as planned.
- Community workshops - Your centre holds community workshops to inform community members on certain issues e.g. community information day, community consultation. You will have to collect and report data on the number of sessions held, the number of people attending (for all sessions) and how many workshops were held on time and as planned.
- Community network/groups - This includes activies connecting local community members with likeminded community members e.g. local community safety house network, local artist group, resident’s group. The role of the service is to provide a space for the group meetings. You will have to collect and report data on the number of community networks/groups supported and the number of meetings held per year. Also you will have to monitor how many forums were held on time and as planned.
- Social Inclusion programs - Your centre is actively involved in organising programs providing soft entry point for socially isolated people, connecting people to activities and others e.g. men’s shed, women’s choir and youth activities. You will have to collect and report data on the number of sessions held, the number of people attending (for all sessions) and how many workshops were held on time and as planned.
- On-line forums - Connecting people though e-technology e.g. online forums / groups, facebook etc.You will have to collect and report data on the number of times the forum occurred and the number of hits to the page for each of these forums. Also you will have to monitor how many forums were held on time and as planned.
