The Multicultural Neighbourhood Centre. Inc is organising the 2012 Hunter Multicultural Services Expo on the 9th May 2012. The Expo is an annual event which usually attracts many people from the community including people from diverse background and mainstream, last year we had 130 people attended and 26 stalls from different government departments and services providers.

The event will take place on Wednesday 9th May 2012 from 10 am – 2 pm at the Multicultural Neighbourhood Centre; 3 Illalung Road – corner of Durham Road, Lambton

The event will be an opportunity to celebrate cultural diversity through showcasing performances, arts and crafts. The Expo will also include Free Multicultural Food Sampling Showcase by Northern Settlement Services, NSS.

Many government departments and not for profit organisations will be represented and have their information stalls on the day; e.g. NSW Dept. of Family and Community Services – Community Services, Department of Human Services, Newcastle City Council, Lake Macquarie City Council, Fire Brigade, Police, The University of Newcastle, Northern Settlement Services, NSW Office of Fair Trading, Hunter TAFE, Hunter Community College, JobQuest and many more.
