Membership
Membership of LCSA is determined by our constitution. There are different categories of membership with different, rights, responsibilities and entitlements. Normally membership is held by an organisation and full membership rights are only accorded neighbourhood and community centres and other community-based, community managed orgaisations with a focus on community strengthening. However, some individuals, including students are eligible for individual membership, together with Life Members who are honoured for their contribution to the sector. Organisations from outside the sector who wish to access our information and resources may become subscribers.

- Access to LCSA staff's extensive sector knowledge, advice and consultation
- Voting rights at LCSA's Annual General Meeting to elect Management and Executive Committee members (Members only)

- Regular summary of sector news and events
- Written publications including the LOCAL journal, LCSA Occasional Papers and Resources in Brief
- Reduced Conference registration rates
- Access to LCSA's Community Development Resource Library

- Participation in a national network

There are two types of organisational membership: membership and associate membership

Individual
There are three types of individual membership of LCSA, none of which carry voting rights: individual member, individual (student) member, and life member, which is honorary.

For organisations that do not meet the criteria of local community centres but still want to keep up to date with developments in the area
