A commitment from the NSW Department of Communities and Justice, Local Community Services Association and Neighbourhood and Community Centres to work together for strong, vibrant local communities in NSW.
The Shared Commitment represents a significant milestone in the relationship between the community sector and government and outlines key principles and mutual responsibilities for service delivery, community engagement and strategic collaboration.
The Shared Commitment acknowledges the pivotal role of neighbourhood and community centres in the broader community services system and affirms the value of place-based, community-led approaches to building stronger, fairer and more resilient communities. It recognises the expertise of neighbourhood and community centres in leading meaningful community development and encourages Government to build on this approach to better serve communities.
